The hugely popular Age of the Gods series is back with another release, featuring a range of mechanics that made the previous titles so favoured. After the tutorial screen disappears, players will be prompted to adjust the number of lines and bet size, before being presented with a view of a village located in Aeolia. For those that aren't familiar with Ancient Greek mythology, this island is home to Aeolus, god of the winds, but more on him later. Age of the Gods: God of Storms 3 comes with 5 reels, 25 paylines.

In order of desirability, the premiums consist of a shield, a Kraken, a warrior, Artemis, and a fully armoured Spartan. Should five of these form a matching combination, they deliver some of the highest-paying wins in the slot.

Special symbols are made up of two different variations of wild. The first is shown as a scroll, while the other appears as a ship. Of course, these can replace any of the other symbols as part of a combination, but the ship wild can also trigger two of the bonus modes! 

When a ship wild symbol lands partially in view, any coin symbols on the reels are collected and awarded, before cascading off the board. The wilds then expand into the empty spaces, with new combinations being evaluated and potential boosts applied depending on how many wilds are visible.

If one or more ships land fully stacked, the free spins bonus mode will trigger. During this round, a random number of spins is awarded, and any coin symbols that appear will lock in place for the remainder of the feature. Where multiple ships appear together, they can merge into a single stacked symbol in the centre reel, further enhancing the bonus round.

Now, at the end of each spin, Aeolus will appear to the left or right of the board, blowing the fully stacked wild in the corresponding direction. The symbol will move one reel at a time, and if it passes through any coins, they will be collected and awarded to the player. Of course, matching combinations are evaluated after each spin, too. 

Age of the Gods: God of Storms 3 also features the Playtech progressive jackpots, of which there are four. At random, players may be taken to a screen with 20 different coins in view. Upon clicking a coin, it will reveal one of the jackpots, with this continuing until three of the same appear. The corresponding jackpot will then be awarded to the player before they're taken back to the base game.
